Autumn Term 2008

Welcome to everyone who is new to the pre-school. We’re pleased to say that the children have settled well into pre-school life & we look forward to having lots of fun together.

Uniform. Now that the colder weather is fast approaching could you please ensure that all clothing is clearly named (including coats, hats etc…) .We do recommend that sew in or iron on tags are used as biro washes out quickly. This is a great help to us & saves items from getting lost. Thankyou.

Sponsored Autumn Toddle. On Tuesday October 21st we would like the children to take part in a sponsored toddle, raising money for Barnardos. Parents /carers are requested to come to accompany their children on the walk which will take approximately 30 minutes, with soup & rolls to warm us all up afterwards. More details to follow shortly.
Topic. This half term we’re getting to know each other through different activities including songs, craft (we hope you have all seen the fantastic faces the children have made), games & circle time. This helps the children to feel settled & helps them to make new friends.

Contact Books. We are currently in the process of giving out contact books. If you have written in the book please make sure that it is put into the box next to the fruit bowl when you arrive in the morning.

Thankyou to all those who contribute to the children’s snack. It is always gratefully received. Just a reminder: the children enjoy different fruits on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. On Tuesday & Thursday they have bread/crackers etc… Feel free to bring along anything that you feel the children may like to have.

Keyworkers. You should by now be aware of who your child’s keyworker is. If you are not sure there is a poster on the noticeboard. If you have any general queries or questions regarding your child’s progress feel free to speak to the relevant person.

Website. A reminder that the website contains up to date information regarding dates for your diary, more information about the term topic as well as photos of the children during play. You can find us at: www.chapellanepreschool.org.uk
